224: UADA

In just four years, across three albums, Uada have developed an aggressive, yet enthralling, sound that manages to imbue black metal with catchy riffs and incredible atmosphere.

With demonic vocals and rapid fire beats, accompanied by warm and sinister guitars, UADA is a melodic black metal monster. And with their shrouded identities, cloaked in black, they make for imposing stage presence.

With their third album, ‘Djinn’, Uada’s sound took on a slightly brighter, warmer sound. This helped to establish what I consider the unique Uada sound and further set them alone from other similar melodic black metal bands, like Mgła.

By creating something undeniably catchy and melodic in their sound, Uada create a link to extreme metal for green ears. They’re also just a fucking awesome band.
