As one of the most interesting heavy bands Australia has ever produced, Twelve Foot Ninja combine funk with alternative metal, progressive elements, and just general oddness, into a unique sound that defies genre and makes for amazing music.
Twelve Foot Ninja’s funky, constantly evolving, twist on alternative metal feels like something Mike Patton could’ve spawned in the late 90s. Like maybe Mr Bungle in a different reality where they took a different path after their debut album. And I mean that as the highest praise.
It has a brilliant groove and every track is addictively catchy, with heavy riffs, bouncing bass, and amazing vocals hooks.
As they start drip feeding us new music, it’s evident that Twelve Foot Ninja have yet to reach their final form. The new songs we’ve heard so far demonstrate they have so much more to show us and I’m incredibly fucking excited.
